Trains
Artistic interventions for a traveling audience
Rails and trains are parallels to human contacts and connections, facilitating the exchange of information, experiences, ideas and cultural/social trends. Another inevitable aspect is the emphasis on the missing long-distance direct train services connecting European cultural centers, possibly at night. In the 19th and 20th century, most of the cultural and artistic exchange was done using railways.
That’s why the festival uses special trains with the audience, artists and experts as the main means of transport; they also feature a touring exhibition of art in the public space in the Czech context, transported in the freight container.
